The Relationship Between Arm Muscle Strength and Lob Shot Accuracy Among Badminton Athletes at PB Wulu Putih Club

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan ketepatan pukulan lob pada atlet PB Wulu Putih. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 atlet yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Kekuatan otot lengan diukur menggunakan handgrip dynamometer, sedangkan ketepatan pukulan lob diukur menggunakan French Clear Test. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dilanjutkan dengan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan ketepatan pukulan lob pada atlet PB Wulu Putih (r = -0,037; p = 0,876). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa ketepatan pukulan lob tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kekuatan otot lengan, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti penguasaan teknik, koordinasi gerak, timing perkenaan shuttlecock, dan kontrol gerakan. Oleh karena itu, pelatih disarankan untuk menerapkan program latihan yang mengintegrasikan peningkatan kondisi fisik dengan latihan teknik secara spesifik guna meningkatkan akurasi pukulan lob atlet.
