The Traditional Sport of Slingshot as a Means of Improving Motor Skills

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis aktivitas olahraga tradisional ketapel dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Keolahragaan Universitas Ngudi Waluyo Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan direct practice method dengan desain one shot case study yang melibatkan 30 mahasiswa semester IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi menggunakan lembar observasi yang menilai koordinasi gerak, ketepatan sasaran, kontrol kekuatan, dan konsentrasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta mampu mempraktikkan teknik dasar permainan ketapel, dengan hasil tes keterampilan terdiri atas kategori kurang (20%), cukup (50%), dan baik (30%). Aktivitas ini tidak hanya meningkatkan koordinasi mata dan tangan, konsentrasi, serta kontrol gerak, tetapi juga menumbuhkan sportivitas dan kerja sama antarpeserta. Dengan demikian, olahraga tradisional ketapel berpotensi menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik sekaligus mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal.
