Publication Process
Sinergi Journal of Governance and Public Policy (SJGP)
The publication process at SJGP is designed to ensure high-quality, peer-reviewed, and ethically responsible scholarly communication. The following steps describe the process from submission to publication:
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal's official online submission system or designated email. Submissions must follow the journal's formatting and referencing guidelines as outlined in the Author Guidelines.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or editorial team conducts an initial screening to evaluate:
-
Relevance to the journal’s scope
-
Adherence to formatting requirements
-
Plagiarism check using standardized tools
Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria will be returned for revision or rejected.
3. Peer Review Process
SJGP implements a double-blind peer review process.
-
Each manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
-
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, contribution to the field, and ethical compliance.
-
Authors will receive reviewer comments and may be required to revise their manuscripts accordingly.
4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:
-
Accepted (with or without minor revisions)
-
Major Revision Required
-
Rejected
Authors will be notified of the decision, along with reviewer comments and further instructions.
5. Revision and Resubmission
Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewer comments and resubmit within the specified time frame. A revised manuscript may be sent back to reviewers for a second round of review.
6. Final Acceptance and Copyediting
Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes:
-
Final formatting and layout editing
-
Language editing (if necessary)
-
Reference and citation checking
Authors may be asked to approve the final galley proof before publication.
7. Online Publication
The final version of the manuscript will be published online in the upcoming issue of SJGP. All articles are assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for indexing and citation purposes.
8. Indexing and Archiving
Published articles will be indexed in national and international databases and archived permanently in the journal’s repository.
